    2. Problem: After chess move is entered for copy protection, screen freaks out, or may reboot. Solution: Run the game using the /KEYB switch. The mouse driver MUST be 100% Microsoft compatible.

    3. Problem: Can not connect on a modem game on COM 2. Solution: Start the game by typing CHESS /KEYB /COM2 and hitting the ENTER key.

    4. Problem: Music is coming from the PC speaker and not from the sound card. Solution: After the /ADLIB switch is used, the music will still be heard from the PC speaker. Movement and battle sounds will then be heard from the sound card.

    5. Problem: After chess move is entered for copy protection, a blank chess board appears. Solution: Check if the CHESS directory has ALLCAMN1, ALLCANM2, and ALLCANM3 files. If not, enter the following commands:

    1. COPY ALLCANM2. /B + ALLCANM3. /B ALLCANM2. /B
    2. "DEL ALLCANM3."

    6. Problem: Receive "Bad command or file name" when trying to install. Solution: Installation program is now called INSTALL. To run it, type INSTALL C: and hit the ENTER key.

    7. Problem: Computer's rook appears to move diagonally during game, or the computer takes 2 turns. Solution: The computer has calculated that there is no way to move your king out of checkmate. The computer will then make the final 2 moves. When this happens, the rook may appear to move diagonally.
