1. Insert the Virtual Pool CD into your CD-ROM Drive.
2. Type 'D:' (where D is the letter that designates your CD-ROM drive), then press enter. You should now see the D:\ prompt (if D is your CD-ROM drive).
3. Type 'Install', then press enter. Follow through the onscreen instructions.

1. Insert the Virtual Pool CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. From the START button, select RUN, and type: DRIVE:\SETUP.EXE where DRIVE is the drive letter of your cdrom drive. If your cdrom drive is on D drive, this would be D:\SETUP.EXE
3. Hit [ENTER] or click the mouse button on [OK]
4. Follow onscreen instructions.

To start Virtual Pool:
In DOS -

1. At a DOS prompt, type 'CD\VPOOL', and then press enter.
2. Type 'POOL', and then press enter.

1. Open 'My Computer', then your 'C' drive, and then open the 'VPOOL' folder.
2. Double click on the 'Virtual Pool' icon.

1. Getting the error message, "Unable to select desired video mode."
2. The keyboard locks up during play but the mouse still works.
3. The mouse driver is difficult to use and jumping everywhere.
4. The movies will not play or lock up.
5. Can only use Normal Resolution for the game with my video card?
6. The Electronic Registration is not working or I do not have a modem.
7. Using QEMM and get an error message saying that XMS Memory is corrupted.
8. Receiving- DSHELL error on attempting to install.

• You need to run a VESA driver or put your video BIOS in VESA mode before running the game.
  
• Load the driver specific to your card. Call the video card manufacturer for more information.
  
• Download the new versions of UniVBE from http://www.scitechsoft.com or ftp.scitechsoft.com
  
• ATI's do not use a BIOS but use a file called VVESA.COM. Do a search for it from your C:\> prompt by typing:
  DIR VVESA.* /S
  Place a line to load the driver in your AUTOEXEC.BAT or type UniVBE or VVESA before running Pool. Diamond Vipers can be changed to vesa mode with the command: VPRMODE VESA

• Make sure your VESA BIOS is version 1.2 or later. You can download the latest version from your video card support sites. You might want to try the latest VESA drivers up on our support sites. The more recent driver update for Virtual Pool is vp0908.exe.

  Virtual pool works in standard resolution to insure its compatibility with all video cards. The hi-speed SVGA drivers used by Virtual Pool are much faster than the current VESA standard. These drivers are constantly being written and updated. There may not be one for your video card. If your card is not supported or is not working with one of the drivers supplied, you can try the `universal' vesa 1.2 BIOS extension. If the generic vesa does not work, we would like to know about your card to aid us in writing as many drivers to support the hi-res mode in as many cards as possible.

  Please give us the name and (most importantly) the chip set your card uses. To determine the chip set of your particular video card, refer to your video card documentation, inspect the actual video card for the chip type, or contact the manufacturer. You may be able to find this info by typing MSD at the DOS prompt (MS DOS). MSD is not always accurate. Let us know if the video information is being supplied by MSD.
