Problem (DMB1): Getting error of unspecified DLL file missing.
Solution: Need to edit the eregreg.ini file in the programs directory and
increase the time bypassed to 3.
Problem (DMB1): Receiving message to contact Interplay for security code.
Solution: When starting the game you cannot hit the ESC key or it will give you this
error, you can press any other key or hit your mouse button when the logo appears.
If you are in the program, bring up the help menu and choose about. When the logo
appears click on it with there mouse and attempt to save again.
Problem (DMB2): Receiving ERROR: Invalid call to a DLL file.
Solution: Apparently this is a problem only with the ereg program. Try
entering the eregreg.ini file, and change the numbers to the following:
[Registration Counters]
Times Registered=1
Times Bypassed=5
Times Run=5
This will bypass the ereg, and you should now be able to enter the Descent 2 Mission Builder.
Problem (DMB2): Receiving message "Cannot Save Games, Contact Bryan Amos for Security Code:"
Solution: If you cannot save games, it is because you hit esc when you were on the title screen. If you
hit any other key besides escape to close that screen, you should not have any problems saving. Hitting
escape calls on a function which disables saves. If you click your mouse, or hit enter instead you will
not experience this problem. If you accidentally hit escape and are in the Descent 2 Mission Builder, you
can goto 'help', then 'about' to bring the title screen back up. Then hit enter or click the mouse and you
will be able to save.
Problem (DMB2): Receiving message "Libary file corrupt, please reinstall:"
Solution: This is usually caused by the file BWCC.DLL not being copied into the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder on your harddrive. This file is included with the Mission Builder, just copy the file BWCC.DLL into the C:\Windows\System directory on your harddrive and try running the Mission Builder again..
