To Install Game:
Windows 95/98 Installation -
- Insert the CD into your CD-Rom drive.
- The auto-run screen should appear within a few seconds.
- If the auto-run screen appears:
- Left click on INSTALL.
- The game will now begin the installation process.
- If you do NOT have DirectX 7 installed on your computer, make sure you first install DirectX 7 by left clicking on the line with the words INSTALL DIRECTX.
- If you have an older version of DirectX, you will want to have the game update your computer to DirectX 7.
- Depending on how much of an updated was needed or if DirectX was installed for the first time, you may be prompted to reboot the system after the installation is completed.
- If the auto-run screen DOES NOT appear:
- Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop.
- Double click on your CD-ROM drive icon.
- Double click on the WINDOWS folder.
- Double click on the SETUP.EXE file.
- The game will now begin the installation proceedure.
To Start Game:
In Windows 95/98 -
- Insert the cd into your CD-ROM drive.
- On the autorun menu click on the PLAY button.
- If the AUTORUN screen does not come up for your game, try removing and then re-inserting the Virtual
Pool Hall cd back into your cd-rom drive.
- If that does not help, make sure you have AUTOINSERT NOTIFICATION turned ON.
- To turn on or off the AUTO INSERT NOTIFICATION,
- Go to the START button,
- Select SETTINGS, then
- CONTROL PANEL,
- Double click the SYSTEM icon,
- Select the DEVICE MANAGER TAB,
- Locate CD-ROM, and double click it.
- Then click on the information that appears below CD-ROM and select
- PROPERTIES.
- Select the SETTINGS TAB,
- look for the AUTO INSERT NOTIFICATION option, click on the box next to this option to put a check
mark in the box if you want the auto insert notification turned on.
- Click on the APPLY button, then click on OK.
NOTE: Auto insert notification, when turned on, causes the games autorun menu to appear on your monitor when you insert a cd into your cdrom drive that has an AUTORUN menu on it.
This is normally a convenient way to start a game.
